Take a look at Longmont’s active development map and consider how decisions are made about these city development projects and the possible impacts they may have.
Learn a little about “urbanization”, the forces that drive it, and some of the positive and negative consequences of large numbers of people living close together in urban areas.
Research and evaluate designs and decisions about intersection designs, street layouts, zoning, and urban growth and expansions.
Use some of the ideas that came up in this section to redesign a part of our city or propose new designs for a currently active development project.
